The Eiffel Tower is the tallest building of French capital (300 m / 984 ft) and owes its name to the architect Gustave Eiffel.

Paris is more than fashion and luxurious boutiques, FranceParis is home of the most famous and largest museum of the world, Louvre. Louvre Museum is nestled between the Rue de Rivoli and Senna River; this museum contains the best art collections of different epoch. Louvre Museum is an important part of the French history. It was housed of Louvre Palace which began as a fortress in the 12th  century. Many kings lived here until Louis XIV chose the Palace of Versailles for his house, leaving the Louvre principally as a place to exhibit art in its diverse expressions. During the French Revolution, the National Assembly decreed that the Louvre should be used only as a museum for displaying the country’s masterpieces. Today, this measure continues in force.
